Centro di Alta Formazione Laudato Si’ at #ShapingTomorrow
New languages, Integral Ecology, migrants and refugees, Artificial Intelligence are some of the topics discussed at the International Conference on Social Communication organized by the Sector for Social Communication of the Salesians of Don Bosco and the Faculty of Social Communication Sciences of the Pontifical Salesian University (UPS).
#ShapingTomorrow is the title of the initiative that took place from August 1 to 7 at the UPS in Rome, with the aim of providing tools and guidance for laypeople and religious members of the Salesian Congregation who, as educators, want to stand by young people even in the new digital contexts.
The conference aims to delve deeper into the world of youth communication, creating global networks among and with Salesian communicators to foster “good Christians and upright citizens,” following the spiritual legacy left by St. John Bosco.
Centro di Alta Formazione Laudato Si’ was entrusted with closing the week’s work with a presentation on communication concerning integral ecology and human mobility. It was an opportunity to bring the direct testimony of Duclair Ngonga, a Cameroonian refugee in Italy, teacher, and political activist, who offered a firsthand account to help participants experience that when listening to others becomes an authentic relationship, a future can be built that has room for everyone.
