Centro Laudato Si

Borgo Laudato Si’: for the Jubilee an Education Center in Integral Ecology

The Centro di Alta Formazione Laudato Si’ is set to welcome pilgrims and visitors to Borgo Laudato Si’, situated in the stunning Gardens of the Pontifical Villas at Castel Gandolfo.

This space, initiated by Pope Francis and included as part of the Jubilee experiences, offers a pathway for education in integral ecology, open to all people of goodwill.

Borgo Laudato Si’, spanning 35 hectares of gardens and 20 hectares of farmland, contain over 3,000 plants representing 300 distinct species, providing an immersive experience of natural beauty. Pilgrims visiting Rome can also explore the archaeological remains of the Roman Emperor Domitian’s villa within the gardens.

Borgo Laudato Si’ is one of the recommended stops for pilgrims participating in the Jubilee 2025. This initiative seeks to inspire a profound reflection on ecological themes and emphasizes our shared responsibility to care for the planet, as underscored by Pope Francis in the Laudato Si’ Encyclical.

It presents an exceptional opportunity for ecological contemplation and catechesis, fostering ecological conversion and a deeper awareness of the importance of Creation.
