At Borgo Laudato Si’, new selections for work training for people with vulnerabilities
The selection process for the upcoming gardening and green maintenance work training course at Borgo Laudato Si’, located within the Gardens of the Papal Villas of Castel Gandolfo, is now open.
The Laudato Si’ Center for Advanced Training, in partnership with the social cooperative Percorsi di Cittadinanza, offers a series of training activities in green maintenance, pruning, gardening, and arboriculture within the 35 hectares of gardens and 20 hectares of agricultural area, which hosts over 3000 plants from more than 300 different botanical species. The activities vary depending on the season.
These training programs are aimed at people in fragile situations: migrants, refugees, women who have survived violence, unemployed youth and adults, people with disabilities, and former prisoners.
All professional training programs offer the possibility of entering the workforce and provide personal support for a year.
The lessons for the gardening and green maintenance course will begin on January 27. The course lasts 100 hours, divided into sessions from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with mandatory attendance.
