A Special Edition for Saint Francis’ Feast
Today, with the celebration of the Feast of St. Francis, the “Tempo del Creato” comes to a close.
In honor of this occasion, Centro di Alta Formazione Laudato Si’ has collaborated to a special edition of the Osservatore di Strada, symbolically released today and dedicated to Pope Francis’ vision of Integral Ecology.
The publication offers readers a journey of discovery into the Borgo Laudato Si’, a project initiated by Pope Francis in the Gardens of the Pontifical Villas at Castel Gandolfo.
Within the newspaper, there is an interview with Fr. Fabio Baggio, Director General of Centro di Alta Formazione Laudato Si’, alongside an account of the first work-training program conducted at Borgo Laudato Si’ in collaboration with *Percorsi di Cittadinanza.
Paolo Luzzi, a botanist and Third Order Franciscan, provides insight into the trees of the Borgo Laudato Si’, explaining the hidden language of these silent guardians of Creation.
Additionally, a piece by Ascanio Celestini recounts the life of St. Francis of Assisi, while a striking illustration by Mauro Biani conveys a central message of Pope Francis’ pontificate: there can be no Integral Ecology without Social Justice.
