Knowing the distortion of the concept that only “the strongest” prevails, for quite some time now we have understood that the creature entertaining more relationships with others is saved in a complex exchange of vitality, which is nothing other than the effect of the very relationship God has established between Himself and people, between human beings and nature. It is a relationship that is rooted in love and in the awareness that all of us have been created and are brothers and sisters, and therefore intrinsically connected to one another (LS 70).
