Listening

In order to affirm an authentic development, it is necessary to always determine an integral enhancement in the quality of human life, and this requires assessing the space where people’s existence takes place (LS 147). Today we hear many things, but we only listen to a few of them. We often disregard the importance of listening to others because our need to be heard prevails, and we become selfish. Hence, by practicing sincere listening, we will learn to shift our attention to others, to “put ourselves in their shoes”, to offer them the gift of the “right word” and discover together the beauty of dialogue (FT 147).
