A caress is a gesture that, by definition, is tender and delicate. It is the perfect image of God’s love, a free, perfect love, never imposed against our freedom but constantly encouraged by the Spirit (LS 84) in every moment of our life. And what more evident mirror is there than nature around us, a free and essential source of our very life, discreet and silent but always present in the air we breathe, in the water we drink, and in the sun warming us up.
