Caring for Creation, our first and foremost neighbor, is a great form of love; a free love, perfectly explained in the parable of the Good Samaritan: seeing someone struggling, showing compassion to and taking care of them… Today, more than ever, this parable urges us to pay attention to what is around us, by being aware of our vulnerabilities and understanding that no one, especially disregarding nature, can do it alone. Love begets love. Every day we might be the ones taking care of others or being looked after; but, either way, we will have a chance to experience the immensity of gratitude.
